On 23 February 2015, the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Eqstra will formally handover a braille version of Nelson Mandela’s autobiography Long Walk to Freedom at Prinshof School in the CBD of Pretoria. This unique handover seeks to make Madiba’s legacy readily available to our visually impaired children.

Mafikizolo takes Reunited Tour to the youth of South Africa
On 16 February 2015, Afro-pop group Mafikizolo, together with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, launched the six-city Mafikizolo Reunited South Africa Tour at the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory in Johannesburg.

The Nelson Mandela Book Drive continues to attract support from all corners of South Africa, with donors living Madiba’s legacy in helping realise a better quality of life for all. One such donor is Johannesburg resident Mary Murphy, seen here handing over a generous collection of reading material to the Nelson Mandela Foundation recently, which will be donated to schools and charities in need.

Three more Mandela Day container libraries donated to Limpopo schools
Thanks to ThyssenKrupp, the Mandela Bangle programme was able to deliver three container libraries to different schools on the outskirts of Lephalale in Limpopo – Majadibodu Secondary School, Batlhalerwa High School and Mosima Primary-2.
