Mandela Day call to action
Mandela Day is about inspiration. Individuals are inspired to take action, communities join together to empower themselves and those they live with, and people around the world spread the word and the philosophy: “Take action, inspire change, make every day a Mandela Day.”
The official Mandela Day website now proudly hosts an online portal that will allow any interested people or groups to register and upload events taking place in honour of Nelson Mandela's birthday.
If you want to participate in an activity on Mandela Day in your community, but are unsure of what is being done, then you can either register your activity or join someone else’s. It’s a way of meeting others, sharing ideas and experiences, and seeing what is being done to mark Mandela Day by people all over the world.
Whichever organisation, community, city or country you find yourself in, there will be something you can do. In the words of Nelson Mandela, “It is our hope that people will dedicate their time and effort to improve the conditions within their own community.”
